Cracked or worn concrete doesn’t always need to be replaced. In many cases, we can repair or resurface it for a fraction of the cost of a full tear-out. We repair driveways, patios, walkways, and porches that are still structurally sound but have surface cracks, spalling, or uneven color.
Cracks in concrete usually come from movement, temperature changes, or poor base prep. We start by figuring out what caused the problem. If the base is still solid and the cracks aren’t structural, we clean and fill them using the right material for the job — either a flexible sealant, epoxy, or polymer repair mix.
For larger surface damage, we use a resurfacing system that bonds to the old concrete. The surface is cleaned, ground, or pressure washed before applying a new layer that’s about ⅛ to ¼ inch thick. Once cured, it looks like a new slab and can be broomed, troweled, or textured for traction.
Repairing or resurfacing is a good option when:
The slab is level and stable with no movement underneath
Cracks are thin or shallow
You want to refresh the surface without major construction
You’re preparing a property for sale or cleanup
If the slab is severely cracked, hollow underneath, or shifting, we’ll recommend replacement instead. Concrete leveling may be an option, but resurfacing a leveled concrete pad may be difficult and not hold up as well as surface cracks. We’ll explain what’s going on before you decide which route makes sense.
We don’t just fill cracks and walk away. Each repair starts with cleaning and widening the crack slightly so the patching compound bonds well. For small cracks, we use flexible joint filler to keep water out and allow for normal movement. For deeper cracks, we inject epoxy or mortar-based repair material depending on the location and purpose of the slab.
When resurfacing, we first remove any loose or flaking material. Then we apply a bonding agent and spread the overlay evenly with trowels or sprayers. The new surface can be finished with a broom or texture to match nearby concrete. Control joints are recut after the overlay cures to manage future cracking.

Repairing or resurfacing saves time and money while reducing waste from full demolition. It also helps keep surrounding landscaping and hardscapes intact. For commercial properties, it minimizes downtime since resurfaced areas can often be walked on within a day or two.
By fixing cracks early, you also prevent water from getting under the slab — which is what causes most large cracks and settling over time.
We offer several resurfacing finishes depending on how the concrete is used:
Broom finish: A clean, slip-resistant texture for driveways and sidewalks.
Knockdown or textured finish: Common for patios and pool decks to reduce glare and heat.
Colored or decorative overlay: For customers who want a fresh, upgraded appearance without replacement.
We also apply sealers that protect the surface from moisture, oil, and UV damage. Sealing keeps resurfaced concrete looking consistent and makes cleaning easier.

If the concrete is mostly level and the cracks aren’t wide or running deep through the slab, repair or resurfacing is usually possible. If the slab has shifted, settled, or crumbles under pressure, replacement is the better option.
A properly prepared and sealed resurfaced surface can last many years. The key is making sure the base concrete is solid and keeping it clean and sealed as it weathers.
Yes. Resurfacing usually costs far less because the base slab stays in place. It’s a good option when the surface looks bad but the structure underneath is still strong.

We offer clear, written quotes for every driveway project. The estimate includes removal, base prep, reinforcement, pour, and finish. You’ll know the exact cost and timeline before work begins.
